Everyone struggles sometimes. Life can be tough, and no one should need to navigate it alone. We all deserve dignity and respect by being seen and heard. I work hard to hold space for my clients and offer them tools and strategies that create positive change in their lives. I am deeply empathetic and kind while also taking a direct approach to supporting you in accomplishing your goals. I see your strengths and want to help you feel empowered to overcome your challenges. I will not define my client’s goals for them but guide them through a process supporting their autonomy and self-determination.
I hold a Master’s of Counselling from City U in Seattle. As a therapist, I use a Solution-Focused, person-centred approach underpinned by Feminist, Systems and Existential philosophies. I consider myself a
generalist, able to support folks experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, loss and grief, interpersonal conflict, and relationship challenges. I will strive to help move clients toward positive change by exploring strengths, challenges, life satisfaction, well-being, gratitude, self-compassion, self-esteem, values, beliefs, purpose, meaning and hope to elevate my client’s individual and interpersonal connections.
Particular areas of recent development include disordered eating, ADHD, and OCD. I am experienced in supporting individuals facing career flux, life transitions, and academic and leadership challenges. I use an anti-oppressive lens to provide evidence-based, culturally responsive, trauma-informed care in individual therapy sessions to adults of all genders.
