We can help you achieve a healthier, more peaceful relationship with food and your body.
Dietitians empower their patients to embrace food, to understand it, and to enjoy it. Our dietitian will help you to create freedom, balance, acceptance and joy through thoughtful information and advice that is tailored specifically to your needs.
We work with individuals of all ages to help them recover from active eating disorders and teach the principles of intuitive eating to people who have dysfunctional eating patterns and want to learn how to create a healthier, more peaceful relationship with food and their bodies.
What Does A Dietitian Do?
Eating disorders can be incredibly cunning and can convince you that everything is fine, while other people around you become increasingly worried and scared by the changes they see. Having a solid support system around you is essential for recovery, because the ED grows so big and loud you can't find your way out alone.
Our dietitian will:
-Provide meal support and guidance
-Create and regularly adjust meal plans to obtain recovery goals
-Monitor progress with eating and weight
-Provide teaching on what bodies need for energy and nutrition to function properly
-Provide teaching and support to increase dietary variety and re-introduce "fear foods" that have been cut out
-Provide coaching and teaching for families on how to support their loved one effectively
-Be an anchor of support, a cheerleader, a provider of "tough and honest" love when needed, and be fully invested in putting in the time and energy to reach the end goal of eating disorder remission and worker towards you feeling like you are living a full and healthy life.
Other Things Our Dietitian Can Help With
Our dietitian can help with various nutrition concerns, including chronic disease management, nutritional deficiencies, digestive diseases/concerns, picky eating, prenatal nutrition, disordered eating, malnutrition, and many more.
