Melody Morin, a registered psychologist with over 20 years’ experience helping people, is the founder of Level Up Leadership and Psychology. Melody holds a dual master’s degree, including an executive MBA achieved in 2013. She also obtained her Ph.D. in 2022 where she has focused upon understanding the lack of women in senior leadership positions, specifically within the area of medicine. As a registered psychologist, Melody is trained in various assessment and diagnostic tools that you won’t find offered elsewhere.

Prior to launching Level Up Leadership, Melody worked in a variety of roles in the non-profit and public sectors, focusing on forensics and children’s mental health. After spending 15 years on the front lines, supporting youth and families who had experienced a vast array of trauma and abuse in their life, Melody moved into management. She had success in various leadership positions, and in 2009, she was awarded the CEO’s award for her part in an organization-wide change initiative.

In 2013, Melody transitioned into organizational psychology, where she began coaching and supporting executive leaders in organizational change management, as well as employee and physician engagement.

Currently, in addition to her business, Melody works with Alberta Health Services, where she provides leadership training, coaching, and team development and effectiveness. Drawing from her Ph.D. learnings, Melody is against finding “band-aid” solutions to symptoms that are visible, instead preferring to focus on the root cause of the underlying symptoms. She provides client-centric training based on the needs of individuals, teams, and organizations, rooted in best practices and research. This is how you will get the best results for your investment. Melody’s philosophy is about finding the right way to do things, which may not always be the easy way.

Melody’s passions are working with women in leadership, organizational behavior, mental health and well-being in the workforce, and bringing awareness to childhood mental health issues. When it comes to children’s mental health, Melody brings first-hand knowledge and experience. In addition to her front-line work, her daughter, was diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder, separation anxiety, and generalized anxiety disorder at age 4. Her personal and professional experience in the areas of separation anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder has formed her desire to provide assessment and treatment to children, youth, and their families in their own home.

Melody spends her free time traveling and experiencing different adventures with her family.

Melody employs a holistic approach in understanding how to support your family and child and linking you to resources. Looking at the whole child from a medical, physical, nutritional, emotional regulatory, and psychological viewpoint, Melody works with you to tailor strategies and treatment for you, your family, and your child, using a variety of approaches based on suitability:
