I'm a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor. I graduated from University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition and completed my dietetic internship in Edmonton. I also have a Bachelor of Management from University of Lethbridge.

For the past twelve years, I've worked in the public sector specializing in mental health, eating disorders, and most recently, nutrition care for the elderly. I also have a successful private practice focused on eating disorders and disordered eating.  I work with individuals of all ages to help them recover from active eating disorders and teach the principles of intuitive eating to people who have dysfunctional eating patterns and want to learn how to create a healthier, more peaceful relationship with food and their bodies. I take a weight neutral approach to changing eating patterns, keeping the focus on improving health instead of weight, and holding firm in the belief that health can always be improved through nutrition and lifestyle, regardless of whether weight changes. This work is extremely rewarding for myself and my clients. My favourite part is forming connections with people and helping them discover how they can change their lives in a positive, meaningful way.

Some of the areas of expertise that I am trained in include:

Maudsley-based therapy for teens

Refeeding and weight restoration plans

Recovery treatment plans for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Otherwise Specified Feeding and Eating Disorders (OSFED), Severe and Enduring Anorexia Nervosa (SEAN)

Intuitive eating

Weight neutral nutrition and inclusive care for PCOS, diabetes, pregnancy

Body image and self-advocacy coaching

Coaching on navigating diet culture, fatphobia and weight-centered health care systems

Coaching on confronting and changing weight biases

I live in Edmonton with my partner and two great kiddos. I'm also a dog-mom, an avid lover of spin classes, yoga, reading, and did I say dogs??

Looking forward to meeting you!
