Welcome to Level Up Wellness Group. Below is a bit about me and my approach to therapy.

I am a Registered Psychologist with a specialization in working with individuals who struggle with
anxious, obsessive, and compulsive behaviors and those who have endured trauma and addiction in
their lives. Through a person-centered approach, which maintains the therapist and client as equals, I
strive to create a warm and trusting space to help individuals fulfill their personal needs and desires.
Through this safe relationship, the client can begin to accept and respect disowned parts of themselves
and cultivate a compassionate and respectful relationship with their inner worlds. When working with
youth, I am passionate about utilizing a collaborative approach with parents to help build and
strengthen the child’s support system and enhance their overall wellbeing.

In my past work, I have felt truly inspired watching individuals take on challenges they never thought
possible and face difficult emotions with newfound courage. I strongly believe that each person has the
strength and resilience to heal and needs only someone to guide them through this process. I recognize
the vulnerability in reaching out for support and it is therefore my responsibility to my clients to
understand and appreciate them as they explore difficult emotions and begin a journey of healing and
self-empowerment.

I have a graduate degree in Counselling from City University of Seattle and am trained in Eye Movement
Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is a form of psychotherapy that helps the brain process
through distressing memories, emotions, and thoughts. EMDR can be used to treat a variety of struggles
including trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and many other mental health issues.
Additionally, I have completed a basic certificate Existential Analysis. Existential Analysis is an
experiential psychotherapy that focuses on building an authentic relationship with the self, which sets
the stage for finding purpose and fulfillment in life. Other approaches I use to individual and couples
therapy include the following: Attachment-Based Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Exposure and
Response Prevention, The Gottman Method, Internal Family Systems, and Somatic-Based therapies.
