I currently hold the title of Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and plan to soon become registered as a provisional psychologist. I have recently graduated with a Master of Counselling degree from City University of Seattle and have been working in the addiction field for over three years. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and have worked with individuals who have experienced trauma in childhood and in their adult lives.
Through a client centered approach I strive to maintain a collaborative, trusting, and warm relationship to help individuals fulfill their personal needs and desires. In my past work, I have felt truly inspired watching individuals take on challenges they never thought they could and face difficult emotions with new found courage. I strongly believe that each person has the strength and resilience to heal and needs only someone to guide them through the process. I recognize the vulnerability in reaching out for support and it is therefore my responsibility to my clients to create a warm and safe space to allow for each individual to explore their life struggles and begin a journey of healing and self-empowerment.
