Approaches and Supported Concerns

CHild, Adolescents and Adults

I am a creative and passionate Occupational Therapist with 18 years of experience working with children and families in home, school, and community settings. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy through the University of Alberta in 2004 followed by my Master of Science in Rehabilitation Science through McMaster University in 2010.

I have experience working with children with a wide variety of diagnoses who experience challenges with sensory processing, motor skills, executive functioning, emotional regulation and other challenges that impact their function and independence in daily life. My approach to working with children has been shaped not only by my experience as a pediatric Occupational Therapist, but also through my journey parenting my own three children, one of whom has struggled with mental health challenges and difficulties with emotional regulation and sensory processing. This has fueled my passion for supporting children and families that are struggling and helping to bring balance and joy to family life.

I have pursued many opportunities for continued education and developing my skills. I have additional training and experience in autism assessment, sensory processing, trauma, executive functioning, and emotional regulation.

When I’m not working or chauffeuring and cheering kids at sports activities you can find me running, biking, or curled up with my dog and a great book!
